SOULSTICE RETREAT: The Lounge

Our 3rd annual Soulstice Retreat has come and gone and now we get to reflect upon the wonderful memories we made with some of our favorite people, new friends as well as old.  One of the main purposes of beginning Soulstice was for us to show off our favorite local Utah companies. We couldn't love this beautiful state more and it's clear that the gorgeous mountains and amazing community we have here engenders some pretty impressive companies.

We had women from all over the country join us, some alone, some with sisters, some friend mothers, some with their best friends. At the end of the day, everyone came together for a common purpose: to take a moment and enjoy life.  What I love about Soulstice is that EVERYONE is ready and willing to make new friends and make themselves vulnerable and open up and smile and cry and laugh and be silly and be honest and be willing to try new things and share what makes them special and different.

One goal for this year was to create a space where we could all gather any time of the day and just sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.  It was so fun to see complete strangers sit next to each other and strike up a conversation and slowly but surely see the walls come down and see smiles creep across their faces and by the end of it, a new friendship was forged.

We were so lucky to have Walker Edison come create the most beautiful lounge area for us with the comfiest and coziest furniture. We could not have loved it more and it ended up being even more wonderful than I had envisioned it. They went all out and styled it and everyone LOVED it (and yes, I have my eye on at least 2 different sets of patio furniture now!).  The perfect complement? Sodalicious came and pampered us with a fabulous drink bar and the BEST. COOKIES. IN. THE. WORLD (I always thought sugar cookies were my fave, but the chocolate... oh the chocolate!!).

In the end, we were able to create a space where we met friends and ate delicious treats while lounging on the comfiest couches, surrounded by bistro lights and the most gorgeous Wasatch mountain range as our stunning background.

If you weren't able to join us this year, we sure hope to see you next year- stay tuned for details.  None of this would be possible without our amazing guests and fabulous sponsors and we are so very grateful that we can create this little escape one weekend a year.
